She is a mother of two and has a vast passion for working with learners in their early phases of development, adolescence and teenage years. She has worked at numerous schools across Johannesburg providing teaching and psychological services for the past 8 years. Furthermore, her work experience journey involves running her own successful private practice (Inspiring minds) and providing psychological input at numerous therapeutic learning centres.
In 2012, Danielle ran her private practice along with assisting as a Senior Behavioural Therapist and Team Lead at The Star Academy- affiliated Centre for Autism and Related Disorders Clinic. Here she followed the developmental potential of Applied Behavioural Analysis Intervention with ADHD, Asperger’s and Autistic learners as young as 2 years. She then left the centre and worked at Trinityhouse Heritage Hill School, Centurion from 2015. However, her interests have expanded greatly over the years along with the needs of the communities in which she works, which lead to the decision of wanting to fully engage in private practice again in 2019.
Furthering her interest in assisting young learners in communicating their needs through play, Danielle trained in advance play therapy methods with specific interest in assisting learners with attachment, anxiety, self-regulation, self-esteem building, family difficulties and adjustment. She is licenced as a NEUROLINK brain profiling practitioner for clients from the age of 8 years since 2014 and is also an internationally certified Hypnotherapist with the National guild of Hypnotists since 2018.
Danielle works predominantly from a systems-based approach, working alongside clients families/caregivers, educators and communities. She is passionate about creating positive and inspiring learning environments, and using superior teaching methodologies as a means of empowering individual clients and systems to adapt and develop to the best of their abilities.
